INCI: Tallow
This product is made from selected beef fats that have been rendered and filtered. No additives have been used. It is considered Lactose Free, Gluten Free, Glutamate Free, BSE Free (Rendered tallow is known to be low risk with BSE, as the BSE agent, a prion, is protein based and neither does it reside in the fat nor is it soluble. Due to high level of processing and filtration it is extremely unlikely to present any risk of contamination).
Best if used within 9 months of the manufacture date.
Just like coconut oil, warm tallow has liquid consistency with bright gold color, but when it’s cooled it hardens and the color changes to a soft cream.
Tallow can be stored for extended periods of time, without the need for refrigeration only if its kept in a sealed container to prevent oxidation.
